Dr. Alexander Africa holds a Doctor of Management in Teaching and Learning from Colorado Technical University and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy at Walden University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration in Global Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from American Military University, along with multiple associate degrees from Community College of the Air Force. His academic work focuses on leadership development, higher education policy, and strategies that support faculty success and organizational growth.
Dr. Alexander Africa is an experienced executive leader, educator, and veteran with over two decades of professional experience spanning military service, nonprofit leadership, higher education, and organizational management. A United States Air Force disabled veteran, he served multiple tours in Iraq, as a technical school instructor, Airman Leadership School, and protocol. He also led complex operations, managed multimillion-dollar programs, and developed leadership and training initiatives that support mission success and community impact. In the nonprofit sector, Dr. Africa has guided national, regional, and community organizations, fostering partnerships, civic engagement, and cultural initiatives that empower diverse communities. As the founder of AV Entertainment LLP, he also leads strategic planning and business development in event, cultural, and community-based productions. Through his professional work, Dr. Africa remains committed to servant leadership, mentorship, and the development of sustainable programs that strengthen both organizations and the communities they serve.
